UKIM - BSC still is not separate legal entity. It is using administration support of the<br />
Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. With other partners there are signed<br />
memorandums of understandings.<br />
By summer 2007, the Centre founded five new companies, all of them led by young<br />
entrepreneurs (students or recent graduates) and all meeting basic criteria of<br />
innovative, profitable and businesses based on knowledge. More than 150 young<br />
people successfully finished ten days training “How to run my own business” and 33<br />
of them applied with the Business plan to the competition organized by UKIM - BSC.<br />
Additionally, UKIM - BSC is providing two-month entrepreneurial training for the<br />
officers that are leaving Ministry of Defense and Army of the FYR of Macedonia<br />
Industry/Sector (technology area): All academic fields since the Centre is<br />
University based.<br />

The Gica Inkubator, an incubator for supporting small businesses in Ohrid region,<br />
was founded in February 2001, followed by the activities on reconstruction and<br />
adapting the ruined buildings. The first four pioneer-companies with sufficient<br />
courage and entrepreneurial spirit joined the incubator and started their business in<br />
October 2001, but their number has since considerably increased.<br />
The Incubator is run by incubator manager and project manager with strong support<br />
from the staff at the mother company, GICA DOO. The Incubator provides following<br />
