laughing and took Jonathan's hand with one of his.<br />

The other hand he moved quickly over the young<br />

man's hair and down the line of his cheek, "And about<br />

tonight. What about going to a party with me after the<br />

rehearsal. Something or other at the Ransoms'. I never<br />

turn them down as my life is in the man's pocket.<br />

Might be pleasant. Why don't we go over there and<br />

appraise their furniture?"<br />
