Ithyceridae includes only one species. The
adults feed on the tender shoots and buds ofvarious
hardwoods and occasionally on some cultivated fruit
trees. The larvae feed on the roots of the host
plants.
Sanborne (1981) studied the morphology of both
larvae and adults, as well as the biology of the
species.
