Express Mail Manifesting
Express Mail Manifesting allows the shipper to use a single-ply Express Mail
label on its packages. This enhancement is especially helpful when preparing
large numbers of Express Mail shipments. The postage is electronically
deducted from the shipper’s Express Mail Corporate Account.
To use Express Mail Manifesting, you may request a copy of Publication 97,
Express Mail Manifesting Technical Guide, by calling 800-279-2651. This
publication is also available on the Internet at
Merchandise Return Service
Merchandise return service adds convenience to the merchandise return
process by allowing authorized permit holders to pay the postage and special
service fees on parcels that are returned to them by their customers. Returns
are paid at the retail rate. Mailers with access to the Postal Service system
may receive merchandise return information electronically.
A special return label created by the permit holder must be used — see the
example in Exhibit 3-4 in Section 3, Labels and Barcodes. Merchandise
return service is discussed in detail in DMM S923.
