so are not repeated here.<br />

The right panel of Fig. 13 shows the apparent magnetic field structure. In the N lobe, the<br />

magnetic field is predominantly perpen<strong>di</strong>cular to the presumed path of the jet along its mid-line.<br />

The magnetic field in the S lobe is broadly circumferential and a sudden increase in the degree of<br />

polarization at the edge of the lobe is apparent.<br />
