2002 Examination Results
Another substantial increase was recorded in the
number of candidates applying to sit the exam in
2002. A total of 236 modules were actually taken.
The tables below list the actual pass results and also
compare this year with previous years.
The results for modules 1 and 3 were the lowest
for four years, candidates apparently undertaking
insufficient preparation. Pass rates for the other

modules were similar to previous years, the overall
rate being 55% For those candidates who narrowly
failed a module a new feedback process to assist
them has been introduced.

Exam Reminder
Applications to sit the Institution Examination this
year in October should be lodged with the IRSE
office before 30th June. You must be a member to
apply and your subscription must be fully paid up at
the time.
