Wiltshire, Knight of the Noble Order of the Bath
For his much Honoured Kinsman, Thomas Gore esq at his house in Alderton, Wiltes
Sir,
On Tuesday night I intend (God willing) to make my Sonne, which it hath pleased the
Lord lately to bless our Family with, a Christian and it is my Wifes desire as well as
mine to have your good Company then to join with Mr William Glanvil; of Broad Hinton,
Mrs Thynne (my wife’s Kinswoman)who are intended for the other Gossips in giving it a
name. If your Wife Brother (to whom I desire to have my Respects presented) and
other Relations and friends can conveniently come along with you I shall be very glad to
see them here and also That it may be your Time before this time twelve months
(though I shall not presume to obtrude myself) to receive the like ??? and the hearty
knights of Bremhill
