INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Accountancy majors may have the opportunity to participate in an extended internship during the
interim and spring semesters of their senior year. Internships typically run from the beginning of
January until the end of March. Students may receive up to nine (9) hours of academic credit for
this internship experience. Upon returning to campus at the end of March, students would be
expected to take two or three intensive courses during the remaining weeks of the semester.
that are ethically sound and socially desirable, cultivate an awareness of the social, political, and
economic developments to which businesses must adapt, develop sound judgment and effective
communication skills, and develop individual interests and talents. Coursework provides both the
theoretical and practical foundation needed for those entering businesses, as well as government
1. Complete all other major requirements with a grade of ―C‖ or better.
2. Maintain an overall and major GPA of at least 2.50/4.00.
Any Business major whose overall or major GPA falls below a 2.50/4.00 will be placed on
above criteria may be made at the discretion of the departmental faculty.
