The Hilltop Scholarship is a four-year, $7,500 renewable academic scholarship awarded to<br />

entering first-year students who have a minimum SAT (combined Critical Reading and Math)<br />

score of 1000 or higher (or a minimum ACT composite score of 21 or higher) and either was<br />

ranked in class in the top 25% or earned a cumulative college preparatory high school GPA of<br />

3.2 or higher.<br />

The Gateway Scholarship is a four-year, $5,000 renewable academic scholarship awarded to<br />

entering first-year students who have a minimum SAT (combined Critical Reading and Math)<br />

score of 900 or higher (or a minimum ACT composite score of 19 or higher) and either was<br />

ranked in class in the top 50% or earned a cumulative college preparatory high school GPA of<br />

3.0 or higher.<br />

The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is a two-year, renewable $7,000 academic scholarship<br />

awarded to qualified transfer students who are U.S. citizens or permanent resident aliens fully<br />

inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. Recipients must hold Associate of Arts or<br />

Associate of Science degrees from an accredited two-year institution and have earned a 3.5 or<br />

better grade point average.<br />

A Transfer Scholarship is awarded to students transferring to <strong>LaGrange</strong> <strong>College</strong> from a college<br />

or university with a minimum of 30 semester hours and a minimum grade point average of 2.5 or<br />

higher. Scholarship awards range from $4,000 to $6,000.<br />

FINE ARTS SCHOLARSHIPS<br />

<strong>LaGrange</strong> <strong>College</strong>'s Theatre Arts, Music, and Art and Design programs, through the generous<br />

support of alumni and supporters of <strong>LaGrange</strong> <strong>College</strong>‘s Fine Arts programs, award the<br />

exceptional talents of prospective and current students with departmental scholarships. These<br />

scholarships are competitive and are awarded based on academic promise, audition, portfolio,<br />

GENERAL GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS<br />

A Federal Pell Grant is awarded to <strong>undergraduate</strong> students pursuing a first bachelor‘s degree.<br />

The student‘s Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as determined by the results of the FAFSA,<br />

Cost of Attendance, and enrollment status determine the Pell award. Students enrolling less than<br />

full-time may qualify for a prorated amount of Pell Grant support based on their enrollment<br />

status and EFC.<br />

A Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant is awarded to <strong>undergraduate</strong><br />

students with exceptional financial need. Priority is given to students eligible for Federal Pell<br />

Grants.<br />

A Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant is a State of Georgia non-need-based grant awarded to<br />

Georgia residents attending a private college or university as a full-time student. The annual<br />

amount is contingent upon funding by the Georgia Legislature.<br />

The HOPE Scholarship is a State of Georgia merit-based, lottery-funded scholarship awarded<br />

to Georgia residents who graduate from an eligible high school with a minimum of a 3.0<br />
