A minor in Accountancy consists of the following 12 semester hours of coursework above<br />

ACCT 2211:<br />

ACCT 3301<br />

ACCT 3302<br />

ACCT 3311<br />

ACCT 4410 or ACCT 4415 or ACCT 4440<br />

To declare a minor in Accountancy, the student must meet the following criteria:<br />

1. Have a GPA of 2.75/4.00 or better.<br />

2. Complete MGMT 2200, ACCT 2211, and ECON 2200 with a grade of ―C‖ or better.<br />

The remaining courses in the minor must be completed with a grade of ―C‖ or better. Students<br />

must take at least four (4) of the minor courses at <strong>LaGrange</strong> <strong>College</strong>.<br />

REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT<br />

A Minor in Business Management is available to any <strong>LaGrange</strong> <strong>College</strong> student, regardless of<br />

major. Courses cover the basic functional areas of business. The minor is designed to help<br />

students develop the ability to recognize and solve business and organizational problems and<br />

understand the role of business in the community, nation, and the world. Such exposure should<br />

enhance the student‘s employment opportunities.<br />

A Minor in Business Management consists of the following 15 semester hours of coursework:<br />

ACCT 2211<br />

ECON 2200<br />

MRKT 3380<br />

MGMT 2200<br />

MGMT 3370 or MGMT 4401<br />

To declare a minor in Business Management, the student must meet the following criteria:<br />

1. Have a GPA of at least 2.75/4.0.<br />

2. Courses in the minor must be completed with a grade of ―C‖ or better.<br />

3. Take at least four (4) of the minor courses at <strong>LaGrange</strong> <strong>College</strong>.<br />

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS<br />

Note that most courses have prerequisites and, generally, 2200-level courses are introductory.<br />

Prerequisites are shown after the course description.<br />

All major and minor courses must be completed with a grade of ―C‖ or better.<br />

To take any course other than MGMT 2200, ACCT 2211, or ECON 2200,<br />

students must have a GPA of at least 2.5/4.0.<br />
