• Selected as a second round (55 th overall) draft choice<br />

by Atlanta in 2012.<br />

2012 (FALCONS)<br />

• Played in all 16 games, including 10 starts at right<br />

guard during his rookie season, paving the way for a<br />

<strong>Falcons</strong> offense that racked up 5,906 total net yards<br />

in 2012, the second highest total in a single season<br />

in franchise history.<br />

• Part of an offensive line that allowed QB Matt Ryan<br />

to set franchise records for attempts, completions,<br />

completion percentage, yards, and touchdowns<br />

during the 2012 season.<br />

• Part of an offensive line that produced a 300-yard<br />

passer (Ryan), a 100-yard rusher (Michael Turner),<br />

and two 100-yard receivers (Julio Jones & Roddy<br />

White) in a win over Dallas (11/4) which was the<br />

third time in franchise history the <strong>Falcons</strong> have<br />

accomplished that feat.<br />

• Helped anchor an offensive line that allowed 28<br />

sacks, which ranked tied for seventh in the NFL.<br />

• Protected Ryan as he threw for a career-high 411<br />

yards at New Orleans (11/11). Ryan’s 411 gross<br />

passing yards were the third most in a single game<br />

in franchise history.<br />

• Part of an offensive line that helped the <strong>Falcons</strong> rank<br />

sixth in passing offense (281.8), seventh in points<br />

per game (26.2), and eighth in total offense (369.1).<br />

• Cleared rushing lanes for RB Michael Turner and<br />

RB Jacquizz Rodgers as the duo combined for 1,162<br />

rushing yards with 10 touchdowns on the ground.<br />

Additionally the <strong>Falcons</strong> were one of four NFL<br />

teams to boast two backs with 750+ yards from<br />

scrimmage.<br />

• Made his first career start at guard at Philadelphia<br />

(10/28). Blocked for a <strong>Falcons</strong> rushing attack that<br />

totaled a season-high 146 yards on the ground.<br />

• Started at right guard in both of Atlanta’s playoff<br />

games.<br />

by The NFL Draft Report and Phil Steele in 2011.<br />

• Earned first-team All-Big Ten Conference accolades<br />

from the media and was an honorable mention pick<br />

by the league’s coaches as a junior in 2011.<br />

• Anchored a Wisconsin offensive line that paved<br />

the way for one of the most prolific offenses in the<br />

country, as the Badgers averaged 469.9 yards per<br />

game, including 235.6 yards per game on the ground<br />

and 234.3 yards through the air.<br />

• In 2011, helped RB Monte Ball lead the nation with<br />

1,923 rushing yards and tie RB Barry Sanders NCAA<br />

record with 39 rushing touchdowns.<br />

• Also protected QB Russell Wilson, who threw for a<br />

school record 3,175 yards.<br />

• In 2010, was a consensus honorable mention All-Big<br />

Ten selection, an Academic All-Big Ten choice and<br />

earned ESPN Academic All-District honors.<br />

• Placed on the watch list for the Rimington Trophy<br />

after starting 11 games at center and blocking for<br />

Wisconsin’s trio of 1,000-yard rushers, RB James<br />

White (1,086), RB John Clay (1,028) and Ball (1,019)<br />
