TRANSACTIONS<br />
• Selected as the second of three seventh round<br />
(244 th overall) draft choices by Atlanta in 2013.<br />
COLLEGE<br />
• Started 29 of 51 career games at Notre Dame<br />
posting 179 tackles (94 solo) with four tackles for<br />
loss, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, one<br />
forced fumble, and one half sack.<br />
• Played in every game during his career with the Irish,<br />
including the 2013 BCS National Championship<br />
Game. Recorded a career-high 16 total tackles<br />
(seven solo) against the Crimson Tide.<br />
• Helped lead the Irish to their first number 1 ranking<br />
in the AP and Coaches’ polls since 1993. Also<br />
anchored a defense that led to Notre Dame’s first<br />
ever number one ranking in the BCS and its first<br />
apperance in the BCS National Championship<br />
Game.<br />
• Appeared in 13 games with nine starts as a true<br />
freshman in 2009 and posted 70 tackles (49 solo)<br />
with one tackle for loss, one interception, one pass<br />
broken up, and one fumble recovery.<br />
• As senior captian, registered 77 tackles (39 solo),<br />
second most on Irish defense behind LB Manti Te’o,<br />
with two tackles for loss and one fumble recovery.<br />
• During his junior season in 2011, played in all<br />
13 games, including eight starts, and tallied 40<br />
tackles, one interception, one pass breakup, one<br />
forced fumble and one fumble recovery.<br />
• Played in all 13 games with eight starts for the Irish<br />
as a sophomore in 2010 and posted 50 tackles (30<br />
solo) with two passes defensed, 1.5 tackles for loss<br />
and one interception.<br />

Motta is one of 10 curret <strong>Falcons</strong> that played in a National<br />
Championship game during their college careers.<br />
He is one of eight players to play in the BCS National<br />
Championship Game.<br />
PERSONAL<br />
• Attended Vero Beach High School in Vero Beach,<br />
FL where he was selected to the Jacksonville Times-<br />
Union’s Florida Super 75 squad and named a firstteam<br />
Class 6A all-state selection as a senior<br />
• Tallied 137 tackles, including eight tackles for a loss<br />
and three sacks during senior campaign at Vero<br />
Beach High School<br />
• Participated in 2009 U.S. Army All-American<br />
Game in San Antonio. He was also selected to play<br />
in Hawaii Football Prep Classic, featuring all-star<br />
team from the U.S. mainland against an all-star<br />
team from Hawaii.<br />
• Rated the eighth-best overall prospect in Florida<br />
according to Rivals.com, a member of Florida Varsity<br />
Top 100, and named a SuperPrep All American.<br />
• Named District 17 Player of the Year in as a junior<br />
2007 and as a senior in 2008<br />
• Full name is Ezekiel Edward Motta. Son of Bill<br />
Motta, who was the defensive coordinator at Vero<br />
Beach High School.<br />
• Enrolled in College of Arts and Letters at Notre<br />
Dame as an industrial design major.<br />
• Was one of just three freshmen to play in every<br />
game in 2009. He played extensively on special<br />
teams and alternated between outside linebacker<br />
and safety logging 12 tackles (six solo), one half<br />
sack and one half tackle for loss.
