TRANSACTIONS
• Selected as a second round (59 th pick overall) draft
choice by Atlanta in 2005.
2012 (FALCONS)
• Started all 16 games, seeing action at both defensive
tackle and end in 2012. Totaled 42 tackles (33
solo) with 3.5 sacks, one interception, one forced
fumble, once fumble recovery and five passes defensed.
• Anchored a defensive line that produced 46 tackles
behind the line of scrimmage, which ranked tied for
seventh in the NFL.
• Collected four tackles (two solo) along with a sack
and a fumble recovery in Atlanta’s Divisional playoff
win over Seattle (1/13).
• Sacked QB Russell Wilson on a third-down play at the
Falcons six-yard line in Atlanta’s NFC Divisional win
over Seattle (1/13). Babineaux’s sack allowed the clock
to run out and kept the Seahawks off of the scoreboard
at the end of the first half.
• Posted a season high seven tackles (five solo), one sack
and a pass defense against Dallas (11/4).
• Recovered a fumble and returned it 15 yards for his
second career touchdown against Arizona (11/18).
Also added a pair of solo tackles in the win.
• Posted his third career interception, picking off Saints
QB Drew Brees and notching two tackles in a win over
New Orleans (11/29). Atlanta intercepted Brees five
times in the game and snapped his NFL record streak
of 54 straight games with a touchdown pass.
CAREER
• In eight seasons in a Falcons uniform, has compiled
321 tackles (226 solo), 22.5sacks, three interceptions,
eight forced fumbles, eight fumble recoveries and 20
passes defensed.
• Since he was drafted by the Falcons in 2005, Babineaux
leads all defensive tackles with 49.5 tackles for
loss.

• Started all 13 games in which he appeared and posted

defensive touchdown.
• Posted two tackles and recovered a fumble in the endzone
for his first career touchdown at Seattle (12/19/10).
• Led the team with six sacks in 2009 while adding a
career-high 58 tackles.
• In 2008, ranked fourth in the NFL in tackles for loss
with 9.5 according to STATS, Inc.
• Selected to the 2008 USA Today All-Joe team.
• Ranked second among NFL defensive tackles in tackles
for loss (8.5) in 2009 while ranking third in the category
in 2006.
EXTRA POINTS
• In October 2010, attended the Falcons 2nd annual
Dazzle and Dine event at Wildfire Grill in Atlanta. This
event provides a special dinner for breast cancer survivors
and their guests as they are given the opportunity
to enjoy a special meal alongside several Falcons players.
The ladies are also treated to a special pampering
day at Jamison Shaw Hairdressers in Atlanta.
• Participated in the Extra Yard partnership program
and purchased 40 season tickets and t-shirts for various
charities in metro Atlanta.
• During the 2010 holiday season, Babineaux baked
holiday cookies and distributed gifts to preschoolers
from one of Easter Seals North Georgia’s Early Education
Centers.
