TRANSACTIONS
• Selected as a fifth round (154 th pick overall) draft
choice by Atlanta in 2008.
• Re-signed by the Falcons on March 7, 2012.
2012 (FALCONS)
• Saw action in all 16 games with three starts, collared
53 total tackles (45 solo) with 10 tackles for
loss and four sacks.
• Ranked second on the team with four sacks, dragging
down QB Kirk Cousins, QB Michael Vick, QB
Josh Freeman, and QB Eli Manning in 2012.
• Tallied two solo tackles against the 49ers (1/20) in
the NFC Championship Game.
• Collected one solo tackle against Seattle (1/13) in
the NFC Divisional round.
CAREER
• In five seasons in Atlanta, has totaled 185 tackles
(142 solo), 16.0 sacks, two interceptions one forced
fumble, one fumble recovery, and three touchdowns.
• Played in all 16 games with one start. Totaled 35
tackles (16 solo), 2.5 sacks, one interception, and
one touchdown in 2011.
• Played in all 16 games with 14 starts. Notched 37
tackles (30 solo) with 3.0 sacks, one interception
and one touchdown in 2010.
• Ranked third on the Falcons in sacks with 5.0
in 2009.
• Recorded his first career touchdown on a fumble recovery
against New Orleans on November 2, 2009.
EXTRA POINTS
• Was awarded the Atlanta Falcons Community All-
Star, sponsored by AllState, for the month of December
2010. Recognized at the inaugural Community
Honors dinner presented by AllState at the 191
club in downtown Atlanta.
• Participated in a number of Falcons Community Relations
initiatives throughout the 2010 year, including
the Alzheimer Association Georgia chapter’s
Dancing with the Stars event, the Falcons second
annual Dazzle & Dine event to benefit breast cancer
survivors at Wildfire Grill in Atlanta, autograph
signings, school visits and serving a Thanksgiving
meal to Atlanta’s less fortunate at Crossroads Community
Ministry
• In December 2010, the Falcons defensive line treated
children from the Atlanta Urban Ministries to a
holiday shopping spree at a WalMart in Atlanta. The
players ate dinner and shopped with the children.
AUDIBLES
Biermann has scored three career touchdowns, including
interception returns of 50 and 31 yards.
COLLEGE
• Played in 52 career games while collaring 220 tackles,
32 sacks (second-most in school history), 45
tackles for loss, nine forced fumbles and seven fumble
recoveries at Montana.
• Was named the 2007 Big Sky Conference Defensive
MVP and collected 70 tackles 15 sacks, 18 tackles
for loss and five forced fumbles during his senior
campaign.
• Became Montana’s first-ever recipient of the Buck
Buchanan Award in 2007, given annually by the
Sports Network to the top defensive player in the Division
I Football Championship Subdivision.
• Competed in the 2008 Hula Bowl.
PERSONAL
• Married to Kim Biermann (Zolciak), has two daughters
Brielle and Ariana, and two sons Kroy Jagger
Biermann, Jr. and Kash Kade Biermann.
• Earned eight letters at Hardin High School (Montana),
three in football and wrestling and two
in track.
