TRANSACTIONS<br />

• Selected as a fifth round (145 th pick overall) draft<br />

choice by Atlanta in 2011.<br />

2012 (FALCONS)<br />

• Played in all 16 games, splitting time in the backfield<br />

with RB Michael Turner. Logged 362 yards on 94<br />

carries (3.9 yards per carries) with one touchdown.<br />

• Ranked fourth on the team with 53 receptions and<br />

402 yards, giving him 762 scrimmage yards on 147<br />

touches (5.2 yards per touch).<br />

• Returned 23 kicks for 592 yards with a 25.7 yards<br />

per return average in his first season as the <strong>Falcons</strong><br />

kick returner. Broke a career-long 77 yard return at<br />

Kansas City (9/9) on his first career return.<br />

• His 25.7 yards per return average in 2012, was the<br />

seventh best single-season average in team history.<br />

• Rushed for a career high 49 yards on 10 carries (4.9<br />

yards per carry) with one touchdown at Tampa Bay<br />

(11/25).<br />

• Joined Turner to combine for 1,162 rushing yards<br />

on 316 carries with 10 touchdowns on the ground,<br />

while adding 72 receptions for 530 yards and two<br />

touchdowns through the air. The <strong>Falcons</strong> were one<br />

of just four teams to boast two running backs with<br />

over 750 scrimmage yards.<br />

• Tallied 93 yards on 12 touches in the NFC Divisional<br />

playoff game against Seattle. Logged 64 yards on<br />

10 carries (6.4 yards per carry), including a 45 yard<br />

scamper that helped set up a <strong>Falcons</strong> field goal.<br />

Also added 29 yards on two receptions.<br />

• In Rodgers’ 4.8 yards per carry during the playoffs<br />

ranked sixth in the NFL among players with 20 or<br />

more carries.<br />

CAREER<br />

• In two seasons with the <strong>Falcons</strong>, has tallied 567<br />

yards on 151 carries with two touchdowns on the<br />

ground. Has added 74 receptions for 590 yards with<br />

two touchdowns in the passing game.<br />

AUDIBLES<br />

Seven <strong>Falcons</strong> have brothers that also play professional<br />

sports. Kevin & Zach Cone (MLB), Jonathan & Jordan<br />

Babineaux (NFL), Harry & Toney Douglas (NBA), Peria<br />

& John Jerry (NFL), Jacquizz & James Rodgers (NFL),<br />

Desmond, Marcus & Isaiah Trufant (NFL), and Robert<br />

Alford & Fred Booker (NFL).<br />

• Logged 57 carries for 205 yards with one touchdown<br />

as a rookie in 2011. Showed his dual-threat<br />

ability by adding 21 receptions for 188 yards and<br />

one touchdown as a receiver out of the backfield.<br />

• Caught his first career touchdown pass on a 31-<br />

yard reception at Carolina (12/11/11).<br />

• Scored his first career rushing touchdown on a one<br />

yard run vs. Tampa Bay (1/1/12). Finished the game<br />

with 24 yards on eight carries helping the <strong>Falcons</strong> to<br />

a 251 yard output on the ground.<br />

EXTRA POINTS<br />

• Awarded the Atlanta <strong>Falcons</strong> Community All-Star<br />

sponsored by AllState for the month of December<br />

2010. Recognized at the inaugural Community<br />

Honors dinner presented by AllState at the 191 club<br />

in downtown Atlanta.<br />

COLLEGE<br />

• Was the focal point of the Oregon State offense<br />

since his arrival in 2008, earning touches not<br />

only in the ground game, but in the passing<br />

attack as well.<br />

• Caught 151 passes in his career, shattering Pat<br />

Chaffey’s school record for receptions by a running<br />

back (124).<br />

• His 4,929 all-purpose yards rank sixth in school annals<br />

behind his brother James Rodgers (5,784) and<br />

Ken Simonton (5,606).<br />

• Is one of just three players in Beaver history to account<br />

for 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving<br />

in a career.<br />
