TRANSACTIONS
• Selected as a fifth round (145 th pick overall) draft
choice by Atlanta in 2011.
2012 (FALCONS)
• Played in all 16 games, splitting time in the backfield
with RB Michael Turner. Logged 362 yards on 94
carries (3.9 yards per carries) with one touchdown.
• Ranked fourth on the team with 53 receptions and
402 yards, giving him 762 scrimmage yards on 147
touches (5.2 yards per touch).
• Returned 23 kicks for 592 yards with a 25.7 yards
per return average in his first season as the Falcons
kick returner. Broke a career-long 77 yard return at
Kansas City (9/9) on his first career return.
• His 25.7 yards per return average in 2012, was the
seventh best single-season average in team history.
• Rushed for a career high 49 yards on 10 carries (4.9
yards per carry) with one touchdown at Tampa Bay
(11/25).
• Joined Turner to combine for 1,162 rushing yards
on 316 carries with 10 touchdowns on the ground,
while adding 72 receptions for 530 yards and two
touchdowns through the air. The Falcons were one
of just four teams to boast two running backs with
over 750 scrimmage yards.
• Tallied 93 yards on 12 touches in the NFC Divisional
playoff game against Seattle. Logged 64 yards on
10 carries (6.4 yards per carry), including a 45 yard
scamper that helped set up a Falcons field goal.
Also added 29 yards on two receptions.
• In Rodgers’ 4.8 yards per carry during the playoffs
ranked sixth in the NFL among players with 20 or
more carries.
CAREER
• In two seasons with the Falcons, has tallied 567
yards on 151 carries with two touchdowns on the
ground. Has added 74 receptions for 590 yards with
two touchdowns in the passing game.
AUDIBLES
Seven Falcons have brothers that also play professional
sports. Kevin & Zach Cone (MLB), Jonathan & Jordan
Babineaux (NFL), Harry & Toney Douglas (NBA), Peria
& John Jerry (NFL), Jacquizz & James Rodgers (NFL),
Desmond, Marcus & Isaiah Trufant (NFL), and Robert
Alford & Fred Booker (NFL).
• Logged 57 carries for 205 yards with one touchdown
as a rookie in 2011. Showed his dual-threat
ability by adding 21 receptions for 188 yards and
one touchdown as a receiver out of the backfield.
• Caught his first career touchdown pass on a 31-
yard reception at Carolina (12/11/11).
• Scored his first career rushing touchdown on a one
yard run vs. Tampa Bay (1/1/12). Finished the game
with 24 yards on eight carries helping the Falcons to
a 251 yard output on the ground.
EXTRA POINTS
• Awarded the Atlanta Falcons Community All-Star
sponsored by AllState for the month of December
2010. Recognized at the inaugural Community
Honors dinner presented by AllState at the 191 club
in downtown Atlanta.
COLLEGE
• Was the focal point of the Oregon State offense
since his arrival in 2008, earning touches not
only in the ground game, but in the passing
attack as well.
• Caught 151 passes in his career, shattering Pat
Chaffey’s school record for receptions by a running
back (124).
• His 4,929 all-purpose yards rank sixth in school annals
behind his brother James Rodgers (5,784) and
Ken Simonton (5,606).
• Is one of just three players in Beaver history to account
for 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving
in a career.
