2013 ATLANTA FALCONS VETERAN PLAYERS • White is the only player in the NFL to record over 1,200 receiving yards in each of the last three seasons and one of just three receivers to post at least 1,000 receiving yards each year during that time. • Pieced together a streak of four straight games with at least on touchdown reception in 2009, which ranks tied for second in club annals. • White’s 8,725 career receiving yards rank 11th among active players. • Earned his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl selection after catching an NFC-best 100 passes for 1,296 yards with eight touchdowns in 2011. • White is the second receiver in team history to record 500-or-more career catches and the first to eclipse 600 receptions. His 622 career receptions are the most in club annals. • Since 2008, White ranks second in the NFC and ranks third in the NFL with 480 receptions. Additionally, his 43 touchdowns are tied for the second most in the League during that time. • In 2011, led the NFC in receptions for the second straight season (100) and became the first player in Falcons history to record multiple seasons with 100-or-more catches. • Led the League with 35 catches on third down, 29 of which resulted in first downs. Also tied for the League lead and set a new franchise record with 77 first down receptions in 2011. • Passed WR Terance Mathis to become the franchise’s all-time receiving yardage leader after recording four catches for 69 yards vs. Tampa Bay in the 2011 season finale. • Earned his third consecutive Pro Bowl berth in 2010 after recording his fourth straight 1,000-yard season, leading the NFC and setting a new franchise record with 1,389 yards. • Named the Wide Receiver of the Year by the NFL Almuni for his performance in 2010. • Earned PFW/PFWA All-NFL honors in 2010. • In 2010, received 47 of 50 possible votes to earn his first career All-Pro selection. • Led the League with a career-high and franchisebest 115 receptions, and became the third player in team history to record 100-or-more catches in a season. • Is the first wide receiver in franchise history to post six consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. • In 2010, hauled in an NFL-best 36 receptions for a League-leading 497 yards on third down. Since 2008, leads the NFL with 120 catches and 102 first downs on third down. His 13 touchdowns on third down tied for the second most in the NFL. • Collected 104 yards on seven receptions against San Francisco (10/3/10). Also forced a fumble that led to the Falcons 68-yard game-winning drive with just 1:22 remaining in the game. • Earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors after totaling a season-high 201 receiving yards on 11 catches with two touchdowns against Cincinnati (10/24/10). • Named NFC Offensive Player of the Month for the month of October after posting 29 receptions for 489 yards and three touchdowns in four games. Also posted three 100-plus-yard receiving games during the month. • Became the fastest player in Falcons history to reach 1,000 yards in a season by hauling in nine catches for 83 yards at St. Louis (11/21/10). • Set a franchise record for total receiving yards in one game with 210 at San Francisco on October 11, 2009. • Pieced together a streak of four straight games with at least on touchdown reception in 2009, which ranks tied for second in club annals. • Became the first Falcons player in team history and the 12th player in NFL history to have 80 catches and 1,100-plus yards in three consecutive seasons. • Set a franchise receiving record with 1,382 yards in 2008, besting Alfred Jenkins’ old record of 1,358 yards in 1981 en route to his first Pro Bowl selection. • In 2008, White and RB Michael Turner became the first Falcons duo to record 1,000-yard rushing and receiving seasons since 1998. • Posted the Falcons first 1,000-yard season by a receiver since 1999 when he compiled 1,202 yards on 83 receptions in 2007. • Finished the 2007 campaign tied for third in the NFC in receiving yards (1,202) while recording a career-best five 100-yard games. 2012 (FALCONS) • Spent a day at Benjamin E. Mays High School in Atlanta, serving as a cheerleader, band member, teacher, and coach as part of Duracell’s Trust Your Power program. White also donated items to the school to help the kids both on the field and in the classroom. • Hosts a football camp for kids where he serves as a coach and gives daily talks highlighting the finer points of the game of football and life. His career totals rank second all-time in school history. • Led the nation with 1,452 receiving yards and ranked third in the country with a 20.5-yard per catch average in 2004 as an All-Conference USA first-team pick as a senior. Registered six 100-yard receiving contests. PERSONAL • Lettered in football, baseball and wrestling at James Island (Charleston, SC) High School, where he twice earned all-state and All-Low County recognition for football. • Won two state wrestling titles. • Born Sharod Lamor White on November 2, 1981 in James Island, South Carolina. • Has one son, Roddy Jr., and one daughter, Milan. • Received All-Conference USA second-team honors after starting every game for the Blazers and leading the team with 39 catches for 844 yards with seven touchdowns as a junior.
