• Missed his entire rookie season after he was placed<br />

on Injured Reserve on August 11, 2012.<br />

2012, this program gives the players the opportunity<br />

COLLEGE<br />

• Began his career at Wisconsin as a walk-on running<br />

back and ended it as a team captain and first team<br />

All-American.<br />

• Started 10 of 52 games at Wisconsin, rushing for<br />

two touchdowns and adding two more receiving<br />

scores.<br />

• According to NFL Draft Report, his 30 touchdownresulting<br />

blocks in 2011 are the most ever by a<br />

blocker in a season and were more than 99 teams at<br />

the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision level.<br />

• In 2011, he was named a first team All-American<br />

and chosen to the Super Sleeper Team by The NFL<br />

Draft Report at fullback.<br />

• Cleared running lanes for All-American RB Montee<br />

Ball, who rushed for an NCAA-best 1,923 yards and<br />

tied RB Barry Sanders collegiate record with 39<br />

rushing touchdowns.<br />

• Also delivered a team-best 100 knockdowns/key<br />

blocks, including a Badgers-best 21 down-field<br />

blocks.<br />

• As a junior in 2010, he won the Tom Wiesner Award,<br />

given to the team’s best Wisconsin-born player,<br />

while adding Academic All-Big Ten Conference and<br />

ESPN Academic All-District honors.<br />

AUDIBLES<br />

Ewing was named the Badgers Special Teams Player<br />

of the Year as a senior at Wisconsin and was a twotime<br />

Academic All-Big Ten selection.<br />

• Produced 18 touchdown-resulting blocks and<br />

helped the Badgers rank 21st in the nation in total<br />

offense (445.2 yards per game), paving the way for<br />

Wisconsin’s trio of 1,000-yard rushers, RB James<br />

White (1,086), RB John Clay (1,028) and Ball (1,019)<br />

in 2010.<br />

• Spent his first two seasons in Madison as a walkon.<br />

During his freshman campaign, he saw action<br />

on the kickoff coverage and kick return units before<br />

shifting to fullback as a sophomore.<br />

• Earned his first Academic All-Big Ten Conference<br />

selection after helping the Badgers finish 15th in<br />

the nation and first in the Big 10 in rushing with<br />

203.9 yards per game in 2010.<br />

PERSONAL<br />

• Attended Richland Center (Wisc.) High School,<br />

where he was a three-sport standout in football,<br />

basketball and track-&-field<br />

• Played football for head coach Ed Levy, was tabbed<br />

a two-star prospect by Rivals.com as a tailback and<br />

strong safety for the Hornets.<br />

• Served as team captain in each of his last three<br />

years.<br />

• Earned All-Southwest Wisconsin Football Conference<br />

honors, as he scored four times on the<br />

ground, gaining 627 yards at tailback.<br />

• Was class president and National Honors Society<br />

member who graduated with a 3.67 GPA.<br />

• Majored in Sociology at Wisconsin.<br />
