Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez made history
in 2011 moving into second place on the
NFL’s all-time receptions list with a twoyard
catch in the second quarter of Atlanta’s
Week 7 win over the Detroit Lions.
Gonzalez pushed his total to 1,242 career
receptions in 2012. He is the first tight end and second
player in League history to record 1,200 career receptions.

Gonzalez became the first tight end in NFL history to record
90-or-more receptions in five seasons. He joined Hall
of Fame WR Jerry Rice as the only players in NFL history to
record 15 seasons with 50-or-more receptions after catching
four passes in Atlanta’s Week 9 win over Dallas.

second most in a single-season by a tight end.

back to 2003. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Gonzalez
tied Tim Brown’s NFL record for consecutive seasons

streak with a reception in 195 straight games.
