• In 36 games with the Beavers, rushed for 3,877<br />

yards on 788 carries with 46 touchdowns.<br />

• His 3,877 yards rank sixth in Pac-10 Conference<br />

history behind Charles White (6,245; 1976-79) and<br />

Marcus Allen of USC (4,810; 1978-81), Ken Simonton<br />

(5,044; 1998-01), Darrin Nelson of Stanford<br />

(4,169; 1977-81) and Napoleon Kaufman of Washington<br />

(4,106; 1991-94).<br />

• Was named the Pac 10 Offensive Player of the<br />

Year and Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 2008<br />

after posting 1,253 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns,<br />

while adding 247 yards and one touchdown<br />

on 29 receptions.<br />

• Gained 186 yards with two touchdowns on 37<br />

carries in OSU’s 27-21 upset victory over the top<br />

ranked USC Trojans in 2008, earning conference<br />

offensive player of the week honors for his<br />

performance<br />

• Set a school record with 21 rushing touchdowns as<br />

a junior in 2009 and rushed for a career high 1,440<br />

yards, while adding 78 receptions for 522 yards<br />

and one touchdown.<br />

PERSONAL<br />

• Rodgers was a standout tailback and<br />

safety for Lamar Consolidated High School<br />

(Richmond, Tx.) where he earned the nickname<br />

“Mr. Touchdown” from his teammates after setting<br />

a Texas record for scoring with 136 touchdowns,<br />

while his 8,245 career rushing yards were the sixthhighest<br />

total in state history.<br />

• Finished his career ranking second all-time in Texas<br />

high school annals with 41 100-yard rushing performances,<br />

including 21 200-yard games.<br />

• As a senior, rushed for 2,902 yards and 43<br />

touchdowns while leading his Mustangs squad to<br />

a 13-2 overall record and their first ever state title.<br />

• Named the inaugural Texas Associated Press Player<br />

of the Year and the Texas Sports Writers Association<br />

4A Offensive Player of the Year in his senior<br />

season.<br />

• Also garnered several national honors, including<br />

first-team EA Sports High School All-American<br />

and 2008 Parade All-American, as well as Old<br />

Spice Red Zone and Built Ford Tough Player of the<br />

Year awards for Texas.<br />

• A Richmond, TX native, family includes his mother<br />

Tasha Williams and three siblings.<br />

• Has devoted time to speak about the dangers of<br />

drugs at elementary schools in the Richmond area.<br />
