• Selected as the second of two fifth round (164th<br />
overall) draft choices by Atlanta in 2012.<br />

• Played in eight games primarily on special teams<br />
and as a reserve defensive lineman during his rookie<br />
season.<br />
• Saw action on defense and special teams in the NFC<br />
Divisional playoff game against Seattle (1/13). Also<br />
played on special teams in the NFC Championship<br />
game against San Francisco (1/20).<br />

128 tackles (78 solo) with 19.5 sacks for minus 138<br />
yards, 31.0 stops for loss, 12 quarterback pressures,<br />
two forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, three<br />
passes defensed and one blocked kick.<br />
• His 19.5 sacks rank 12th in school history and his 31<br />
tackles for loss rank third in team annals.<br />
• Was named to preseason watch lists for the<br />
Lombardi Award, the Walter Camp Player of the<br />
Year Award, the Bronko Nagurski Award, the Chuck<br />
Bednarik Trophy, and the Ted Hendricks Award as<br />
well as for the Pony Express Award.<br />
• Earned All-Sun Belt Conference first-team honors<br />
in 2011 after finishing the season with 52 tackles<br />
(29 solo) and leading the Trojans with six sacks.<br />
• In 2010, he was named All-Sun Belt Conference<br />
first-team by the league’s coaches after notching<br />
76 tackles (49 solo) and ranking ninth in the nation<br />
with 13.5 sacks.<br />
• His 20.5 stops for loss in 2010 tied DE Osi<br />
Umenyiora (2002) for the second most in school<br />
history.<br />

Massaquoi is one of 34 players from Troy to be<br />
selected in the NFL Draft, including fellow Falcon<br />
DE Osi Umenyiora.<br />
• In his first season at Troy, was named All-Sun Belt<br />
Conference first-team by the league’s coaches.<br />
Ranked third on the team with 76 tackles (49 solos),<br />
adding four QB pressures, a forced fumble, three<br />
fumble recoveries and one pass defensed.<br />
• Led the Sun Belt Confernece and ranked ninth in the<br />
nation with 13.5 sacks in 2010.<br />
• Prior to arriving at Troy, Massaquoi played two<br />
seasons at Butler County (Kan.) Community<br />
College, leading the team to the NJCAA<br />
Championship.<br />
• Including the 2009 season at Butler College,<br />
Massaquoi played in 36 college games, registering<br />
224 tackles (135 solos) with 37.5 sacks for minus<br />
242 yards, 68.0 tackles for loss, 21 QB pressures,<br />
four forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, four<br />
passes defensed and a blocked kick.<br />

• Attended Central Gwinnett High School in nearby<br />
Lawrenceville, Ga., playing football as a junior and<br />
senior for Head Coach Brady Warren<br />
• Rated one of the state’s top 60 juniors by the<br />
Atlanta Journal-Constitution after he recorded 61<br />
tackles and three sacks as a senior.<br />
• Graduated from Troy with a degree in Social Science.<br />
• Cousin of Minnesota Vikings TE Visanthe Shiancoe<br />
and Cleveland Browns WR Mohammed Massaquoi.<br />
• Born in Monrovia Liberia, West Africa. Son of Betsy<br />
