COLLEGE
• Four-year letterman at Iowa, starting 31 of 42 games
and recording 131 tackles, 19 sacks, five forced fumbles,
four fumble recoveries and one interception.
• Earned All-America and first-team All-Big Ten honors
as the team’s Most Valuable Player on defense
after leading the conference with 11.0 sacks as a senior.
Also named the recipient of the Big Ten Conference
Sportsmanship Award.
PERSONAL
• Lettered in football, baseball and basketball
at Lincoln (Port Arthur, TX) High School.
• First-team all-conference linebacker and team captain
as a senior, while also competing at defensive
end, fullback and punter. Also a member of the
number one ranked basketball team in the state of
Texas.
• Jonathan’s brother, Jordan, is a defensive back for
the Tennessee Titans.
• Born Jonathan Babineaux on October 12, 1981 in
Port Arthur, Texas.
