1. Show students pictures <strong>of</strong> Thurgood Marshall. Ask students what they know about Thurgood Marshall. Write<br />

2. Read teacher-selected book on Thurgood Marshall. Lead a discussion about Thurgood Marshall.<br />

He was the first African American justice <strong>of</strong> the United States Supreme Court.<br />

4. Have students draw a picture <strong>of</strong> Thurgood Marshall <strong>and</strong> write one important fact about him under the picture.<br />
