in the previous step. One may see that in this particular selection phase space,<br />

background and resolved signal components have a similar distribution and can not<br />

be simultaneously fitted. The fitted scaling factor for a direct prompt photon sample<br />

is equal to 1.18 ± 0.03, while the resolved component needs a higher scaling of<br />

1.57 ±0.08. One should note that what influences the final measurement is only the<br />

relative direct to resolved scale. The uncertainty of the fitted scales were used for<br />

the evaluation of the systematic error associated with the effect explained above.<br />
