Having introduced a new type
of champagne Belle Epoque, the
wine house Perrier-Jouet has again
amazed the connoisseurs. When the
chief wine-maker of the house Erve
Dechan creates a wine bouquet, he
caters to the needs and tastes of a
person, who would buy the wine
into his or her collection. The
exclusiveness of taste is attained
through blending of various
harvests of different years from
various regions of the Champagne
province. Great expert
Dechan adds to the first cuvee
of the champagne Belle
Epoque of 2000 (the year
of excellent harvest) wines
in a different proportion
creating an inimitable
taste. Thus, each buyer
acquires a unique cuvee.
Than the champagne is
bottled. There are twelve
bottles in the personal
collection. The bottles are
put into a special case,
the cover of which has an
engraving of the date of
the wine production, the
names of the cuvee maker
and wine buyer.

Дом Perrier-Jouët принял рисунок из анемонов и роз как свою
эмблему. А само «цветочное» шампанское стало невероятно
популярным. Им восхищались, в честь него слагали стихи…
«Журчащее, искристое… вино, упоенное бокалом цветка», – так
писал о нем Игорь Северянин. Сосуд с цветочным узором с тех
пор имеет все атрибуты изысканности. И по сегодняшний день
это «визитная карточка» Дома. А само вино – всегда желанный
гость на показах мод, презентациях и светских вечерах.
В 2008 году Дом Perrier-Jouët представил первое в мире шампанское
по индивидуальному заказу на основе самого драгоценного
кюве Belle Epoque Blanc de Blanc 2000 года (заметим,
что именно в этом году урожай был отменный).

a family of hereditary wine-producers, met Adele Jouet and fell
in love with her. And this can be called the first anniversary
of a special style and aesthetics of the future remarkable wine.
In the year of marriage of Pierre and Adele a comet fell from
the sky of Champagne, and everybody considered it to be a
good sign and harbinger of an exclusive wine harvest. Out of
that harvest Perrier-Jouet created the champagne, which made
famous their name.
Perrier-Jouet’s taste is incomparable. The wine also stands out
by the design of its bottle, which was made by a great painter, in
1902, in belle époque or ‘silver century’, as it was called by the poets.
The master who created the bottle was the great painter Emile
Galle. He was considered an expert of language of colours and
he was the first to paint a picture on the bottle and then to make
an engraving on it. The patterns on the bottle consisted of white
anemones and gold roses. The flower champagne was named after
that époque: Belle Epoque.
Then the wine house Perrier-Jouet took the design of anemones
and roses as its emblem. The flower champagne became incredibly
popular. It was much admired and wondered at. Poems
were written in its honour. Igor Severianin wrote: “Sparkling
murmuring wine, raptured by the glass of flower”. A bottle with

И личная коллекция готова. Бутыли помещают в роскошный
кейс, на крышке которого выгравированы дата изготовления
вина, имена автора и владельца. Вино хранится в погребах
особняка Belle Époque. Это строение, приобретенное в середине
XIX века семьей Перье-Жуэ, стало истинной сокровищницей
шедевров стиля ар-нуво. В коллекции собрано около
200 работ лучших представителей этого направления в искусстве
– Мажореля, Лалика, Гимара, Муша, Пуансиньона и,
конечно же, Эмиля Галле.
Теперь только владелец ценного шампанского вправе распоряжаться
своим имуществом. Именно он определяет, сколько
лет или столетий будет храниться и зреть замечательное
вино. И время может остановиться, застыть на мгновения,
которые, тем не менее, следуют одно за другим, составляя минуты,
дни, годы, эпоху…

The wine is stored at the
cellars of Belle Epoque mansion.
Now only the champagne
owner has the right to seal the wine fate. He is becoming
a co-maker of the precious product, and now it is he who decides
how long he will keep the wine in the cellar: years or centuries,
starting from 2009. And time may be brought to a standstill, for
a moment or two, which, following one after another may make
up the whole life, an époque, or even – eternity.
