есть несколько крупных универмагов с европейскими товарами,<br />
которые продаются по довольно низким ценам. Если<br />
говорить о кубинских сувенирах, то это, конечно, сигары,<br />
ром, изделия из черепаховых панцирей, черных кораллов и,<br />
конечно, мачете. Последние стоят от четырех до шестнадцати<br />
долларов.<br />

wonderful buildings have been listed by UNESCO as part of the<br />
world’s cultural heritage.<br />
Out of the Cuban resorts, foreigners prefer Varadero and some<br />
resort islands like Cayo Largo, Cayo Coco, and Cayo Guillermo.<br />
All of the Cuban resorts offer a wide choice of surprisingly cheap<br />
aquatic entertainments. For instance, a motorboat angling trip to<br />
catch barracuda and blue marlin would cost you just US$50,- for<br />
five to six hours.<br />
People may talk a lot about the so-called ‘male tourism’ in<br />
Cuba. It is true that more men than women usually come to this<br />
island country. It is also true that Cuban girls are extremely passionate<br />
and peppy, and this perhaps is the major reason why males<br />
come to Cuba en masse. However, the term ‘prostitution’ should<br />
not boldly be applied to what happens here in real life. The thing<br />
is that a girl may refuse to take money if she liked the man very<br />
much. In case they continue seeing each other, the most appropriate<br />
word for such relationship would be just ‘love’.<br />
Most of pretty Cuban maids either work or study at daytime.<br />
Still, the average local salary is extremely low and people can afford<br />
just a limited number of things and products the state provides<br />
under special coupons still used in Cuba.<br />
Nowadays, free circulation of the United States dollars is officially<br />
allowed within the country, so there is no need to exchange<br />
them for the domestic currency since you can use dollars<br />
nationwide. Sure, luxury stores are not found en masse in Cuba<br />
yet, but there are a number of European-style supermarkets in<br />
Havana where good products are sold at quite affordable price.<br />
Speaking about the Cuban souvenirs, we should by all means<br />
remember of cigars, local rum, products made of tortoiseshells,<br />
black corals and, of course, machetes.<br />
So, sunlight, seawaters, marvelous sand, and the chance to catch a<br />
marlin or a swordfish as Ernest Hemingway used to; all of these things<br />
we can find in Cuba. You can rent a car and cross the island running<br />
from Pinar-del-Rio towards the beaches of Guantanamo, and along<br />
your way you will meet many nice, friendly, and beautiful Cuban people<br />
who dance salsa, drink rum, and cook the lobsters they have just<br />
caught in the sea. Probably, these people can much stronger than others<br />
feel what freedom means, since it has been more than fifty years<br />
that there is only one Freedom Island on the globe; Cuba.<br />
It is hard to say goodbye to Cuba because real joy and true sadness<br />
can fill your heart simultaneously when you do. That is why<br />
many people dream of a new visit to this wonderful island once<br />

вот уже более полувека в мире есть всего один Остров<br />
Свободы. Это – Куба!<br />
Прощаться с Кубой трудно – отсюда улетаешь с настоящей<br />
радостью и неподдельной грустью. И многие, едва ступив на<br />
борт самолета, уже представляют себе новую встречу с чудесным<br />
