Double track existing single track sections and improve<br />

alignment of Northeast Corridor LRT, upgrade the traction<br />

power system and signaling to provide limited-stop<br />

service, make enhancements to yard track and<br />

infrastructure. (Local Agency Funds are from selling a<br />

Project Description<br />

In Sacramento, extend light rail from the terminus of<br />

South Line Phase 1 at Meadowview Station further south<br />

to Cosumnes River College (CRC). Includes 4.2 miles of<br />

track, 4 new stations, and 2700 park & ride spaces. (The<br />

four year financially constrained part of the MTIP contains<br />

$65,933,651 of local and state funds. The SRTD planned<br />

date of revenue service is July 2015. $85.66 million of FTA<br />

5309 (b) New Starts funding remains outside the four year<br />

MTIP period until the FTA full funding grant agreement<br />

(FFGA) is executed.<br />
