Project Description
Double track existing single track sections and improve
alignment of Northeast Corridor LRT, upgrade the traction
power system and signaling to provide limited-stop
service, make enhancements to yard track and
maintenance facility, and installation of communications
infrastructure. (Local Agency Funds are from selling a
parcel of land.)

Project Description
In Sacramento, extend light rail from the terminus of
South Line Phase 1 at Meadowview Station further south
to Cosumnes River College (CRC). Includes 4.2 miles of
track, 4 new stations, and 2700 park & ride spaces. (The
four year financially constrained part of the MTIP contains
$65,933,651 of local and state funds. The SRTD planned
date of revenue service is July 2015. $85.66 million of FTA
5309 (b) New Starts funding remains outside the four year
MTIP period until the FTA full funding grant agreement
(FFGA) is executed.
