Lineated features are present NE of this sandwave-field and can be interpreted by<br />

palaeo-features, aligned N-S and having a length about 200 to 250 m and possibly<br />

formed by (helicoidally) strong currents.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Moira-mounds <strong>the</strong>mselves are clustered in front of and on <strong>the</strong>se lineated features<br />

offering a hard surface suitable for coral settlement and attachment.<br />
