.3 A home industry shall be <strong>ca</strong>rried on in the principal dwelling unit and/or in an<br />
accessory building.<br />
.4 <strong>No</strong> more than 50% of the floor area of the principal dwelling unit may be<br />
used for a home industry. The gross floor area utilized for a home industry,<br />
including storage of materials, commodities or finished products associated<br />
with the home industry shall be on same parcel, and shall not exceed 100<br />
m 2 .<br />
.5 <strong>No</strong> retail sales other than the sale of goods produced, grown or assembled<br />
on the premises, are permitted.<br />
.6 The storage area shall be set back at least 30.0 metres from the front lot line<br />
and at least 15.0 meters from the interior, exterior, and rear lot lines.<br />
.7 External storage of materials, commodities or finished products associated<br />
with home industry is permitted in a screened compact area which does not<br />
exceed 100 m 2 .<br />
.8 Only the residents of the principal dwelling unit and up to five (5) nonresident<br />
personnel may be employed to <strong>ca</strong>rry on the home industry lo<strong>ca</strong>ted<br />
on the site occupied by the principal dwelling unit.<br />
.9 A home industry shall not be lo<strong>ca</strong>ted on a parcel unless a dwelling unit<br />
already exists or is being constructed simultaneously, on the same parcel.<br />
7.19 Bed and Breakfast Operation xiii<br />
A bed and breakfast operation is permitted where listed as a permitted use,<br />
provided that:<br />
1. it is lo<strong>ca</strong>ted within one principal dwelling unit on the parcel;<br />
2. no more than eight (8) patrons shall be accommodated within the dwelling<br />
unit;<br />
3. no more than four (4) bedrooms shall be used for the bed and breakfast<br />
operation;<br />
4. no cooking facilities shall be provided for within the bedrooms intended for<br />
the bed and breakfast operation;<br />
5. no patron shall stay at the bed and breakfast operation for more than thirty<br />
(30) consecutive days with 30 days in between any subsequent stay;<br />
6. no retail sales other than the sale of goods produced on the parcel are<br />
permitted;<br />
7. no commercial vehicle, exceeding 1 tonne in weight, associated with or used<br />
in the conduct of the bed and breakfast operation shall be parked or<br />
otherwise lo<strong>ca</strong>ted outside an unenclosed building;<br />
8. only persons residing in the principal dwelling unit may <strong>ca</strong>rry on the bed and<br />
breakfast operation on the parcel occupied by the principal dwelling unit, and<br />
must be present on the property during a patron’s stay; and<br />
