15.0 SITE SPECIFIC DESIGNATIONS<br />

15.1 Site Specific Resource Area (RAs) Provisions:<br />

.1 In the <strong>ca</strong>se of the land shown crosshatched on Figure 15.1.1, the following<br />

provisions shall apply:<br />

i. Permitted uses shall include those listed in Section 10.1.1 as well as<br />

“packing and storage of farm and off-farm projects, including sales,<br />

subject to Section 7.24”, “winery or cidery, including sales, subject to<br />

Section 7.24” and “tourist accommodation <strong>ca</strong>bins”, and shall exclude<br />

“<strong>ca</strong>mpgrounds”;<br />

Despite the requirements of Section 7.24.1(d), the gross floor area of all<br />

buildings associated with the processing of farm products shall not<br />

exceed 480 m 2 .<br />

A “tourist accommodation <strong>ca</strong>bin” is defined as meaning “a building with a<br />

gross floor area not exceeding 70m 2 , designed and built as an<br />

independent and separate housekeeping establishment that is not used<br />

for residential purposes, but may include separate kitchen and sanitary<br />

facilities, provided as accommodation to the travelling public”’<br />

A maximum of ten (20) tourist accommodation <strong>ca</strong>bins is permitted,<br />

regardless of the number of parcels;<br />

v. <strong>No</strong> tourist accommodation <strong>ca</strong>bin shall exceed a height of 5 metres;<br />

<strong>No</strong> person shall stay within a tourist accommodation <strong>ca</strong>bin for more than<br />

thirty (30) days in one (1) <strong>ca</strong>lendar year;<br />

A maximum of one (1) winery operation is permitted, regardless of the<br />
