Self-taught artist VéroniKaH inspires us through her unique
beautiful and visionary paintings that speak to the glories of
our existence, including breathtaking landscapes, remarkable
fluid abstractions and graceful figural studies.
Favoring a palette of gold, cerulean and crimson contrasted
with cool hues of grey, VéroniKaH combines colored inks
and ultra-gloss varnish with acrylics for enhanced textural
effects. This impasto approach features fluid forms that mimic
the natural forces of sky, water and wind. These are robust
paintings that implore personal reflection and meditation. The
artist walks the line between representation and abstraction,
often with suggestive forms that seek individual interpretation.
VéroniKaH’s art is inseparable from her life. “Most of the time I
let my intuition decide what to do without really thinking about
it,” she explains. “My technique is a continuous research of
new visual effects never seen before.” The result of this
spontaneity is a wide variety of subject and styles, from floral
studies and nudes to collage and full abstraction. VéroniKaH’s
favorite means of exhibiting her paintings is with a salon
style gathering, welcoming strangers and friends alike, and
providingdelicious foods to enjoy along with the works.
The committees of the Académie Internationale des Beaux
Arts du Québec retained VéroniKaH as a professional artist
in April 2011. Born in France, she currently lives and works in
Montreal, Quebec. Her artwork has been exhibited throughout
Canada, the United States and Europe.

Andre Netto
About Little Secrets 21 Oil on Canvas 27.5” x 27.5”
Andre Netto’s mid-size oil on canvas works depict the
essential drama of contemporary experience with gleeful
humor and painterly precision. Utilizing perspectival distortion
as dramatic recourse, Netto’s clever vignettes foreground
a plentiful and distinctly marvelous cast of characters and
interchangeable domestic objects. Esoteric wisdom, universal
mystery and extra-sensory experience lurk at the periphery
of these seemingly innocuous portraits done in the guise of
storybook illustration. Inspired by the indomitable spirit of the
1980’s movement of Fantastic Realism in literature, Netto turns
cross-cultural symbolism and willful suspension of disbelief
into a stylistic cult. Straddling the border of idiosyncrasy and
normalcy, these vivid images enforce a rejection of conscious
processing in favor of imaginary networks that are at once
eerily quaint and subtly evocative. Although working within a
distinctly pop dialectic sensibility, Netto’s painting style comes
out of his having specialized in techniques of the Renaissance.
The meticulous naturalism of 15th and 16th century Dutch
and German artists is also an important influence. Rendered
in smooth color dominated by pastel shades and whites of
variegated luminosity, the works convey a sense of spatiotemporal
dislocation and highlight the spirit of the human being
as essentially malleable and shape shifting.
