Susannah Virginia Griffin
It was an absolute pleasure to meet the Agora Gallery staff and work with them on “Singular Sensations.” The entire experience,
right up to this moment, has been a beautiful blessing, and I look forward to sharing many more with everyone at Agora and with
New York City. I completely fell in love with NYC. This was my third visit – the first time, I was completely overwhelmed by the
experience and totally terrified, the second time I was beginning to relax, and this time the whole city felt ALIVE and absolutely
beautiful… I miss the presence of the city already, because it is indescribable - shifting from one emotion to the next, never
subsiding.
There is a special ‘energy’ in New York… I think it’s the heart of our country. It is like the ‘vibration’ of history which still lives
among you, affecting ALL who visit… communicating to us about all the years and centuries of our ancestors’ passions, desires,
sorrows, strength, hardships, loneliness, Oneness, togetherness, will and determination… LOVE… it never stops in New York…
it lives forever… pumping the necessary emotion right back into each of us, forcing us to LIVE… to FEEL LIFE. That’s MY take
on New York! It is a rare beauty indeed, with a heart of pure gold, and the strength of a lion… and the “vibration” is its purr.
Another wonderful thing that happened during my visit – I made new friends, through the pleasure of being with the other artists
who also attended the reception. Each one was so warm and kind, I am so happy to have met them and look forward to developing
our friendship in the future, admiring each other’s work and sharing loving support for what makes our hearts sing. This
union of artists is another thing that I found was special about New York – the atmosphere there encourages it, and helped me
to truly enjoy my visit.
