thick triangle superimposed in the circle. The
circle and triangle symbols contrasts with the
door, light on dark background or dark on light
background [CBC 1115B.6 The triangle shall
contrast w the circle and the circle shall contrast
with the door]. Wall mounted signage: Symbol of
accessibility is mounted on wall sign adjacent to
latch side of door [ADAAG 703.6.1 & CBC
1117B.5.5 Item 4 Pictograms shall have a field
height of 6" ADAAG 703.6.1 Characters and
Braille shall not be located in the pictogram
field]. Verbal description as to restroom usage is
placed directly below the pictogram, if utilized in
conjunction with verbal identification and the
border dimensions of this pictogram is a

Accommodation Toilet:

Right on the 2nd Floor at

60" minimum diameter turning circle, or a T-
shaped clear space, is provided in room with 12"
maximum door encroachment into the required
clear space. A minimum 60" wide and 48" deep
clear floor space is provided in front of water
closet. Front of toilet paper dispenser is within
36" of the back wall. The toilet paper dispenser
is located on the side wall below the grab bar
and within 7" - 9" of the front of the toilet seat as
measured to the centerline of the dispenser.
Requires
engineering/architectural
evaluation. Relocate the toilet
paper dispenser away from the
top of the grab bar.
