Severity: 9 (Warning)<br />

Module: BFXSBM in program BFXTI or BFXTR.<br />

Explanation: A record greater than 9999 bytes in length was encountered during a char mode transfer.<br />

The record is truncated.<br />

User Response: Transfer the file in BIT mode or allow the truncation to occur.<br />

BFX316I sb rjobname rjobid rhost – “message from remote job status responder (BFXJSTAT).”<br />

Severity: 9 (Highly visible)<br />

Module: BFXCON in program BFXTI<br />

Explanation: BFXTI was not connected to by BFXTR. The user specified the “RMTJOB” parameter<br />

in order to use the remote job status facility on the Z/OS remote host to determine the status of the<br />

BFXTR job. The status may be as follows:<br />

sb = 0 Job not executing or queued for output.<br />

sb = 1 Remote job is executing or queued for execution.<br />

sb = 2 Could not Connect to 'Job Status Responder; no job status available.<br />

The “rjobname” is the BFXTR jobname from the “RMTJOB” parameter (JOBSTAT if sb = 2). The<br />

“rjobid” is the JES jobid returned from B FXJSTAT. The “rhost” is the remote host name for the<br />

BFXTR job. The following messages may be returned by BFXJSTAT.<br />

CURRENTLY ACTIVE<br />

Job is running.<br />

WAITING FOR EXECUTION Job is waiting to run.<br />

QUEUED FOR OUTPUT<br />

Job has already run; possible JCL error.<br />

HOLDING<br />

Job is queued for execution.<br />

ACTIVE IN NJE<br />

Job is in the process of being transferred to another node.<br />

STATUS UNKNOWN<br />

JES returned unknown condition.<br />

JOB NOT FOUND<br />

Possible JCL error; probably already flushed.<br />

DISASTROUS ERROR<br />

JES is terminating for unknown reason. This should be<br />

shown to the systems programmer.<br />

RCxxxx SCONNECT to BFXJSTAT FAILED Interrogate the NRBSTAT in Rcxxxxx to<br />

determine the cause of the problem.<br />

User Response: If the message indicates that the remote job will never connect to BFXTI, determine<br />

the cause of the problem, correct it and run the job again. Refer to "Messages Issued by the Job<br />

Status Function" on page 32 for more messages and descriptions.<br />
