Seven Outstanding Industrialists Honoured
with Awards
The FHKI presented the Industrialist of the Year Award 2007 to
Dr Chiang Chen, chairman of Chen Hsong Holdings Ltd, and the
Young Industrialist Awards of Hongkong (YIAH) to six outstanding
manufacturers on 5 December. The Awards give public recognition
for their outstanding industrial achievements and contributions to
the local economy.

工 總 於 12 月 5 日 頒 發 2007 年 傑 出 工 業 家 獎 予 震 雄 集 團 有 限 公
司 主 席 兼 總 裁 蔣 震 博 士 , 並 頒 發 2007 年 香 港 青 年 工 業 家 獎 予
六 位 年 青 工 業 家 , 公 開 表 揚 他 們 在 工 業 界 取 得 的 卓 越 成 就 , 並
感 謝 他 們 對 香 港 工 業 和 整 體 經 濟 發 展 的 貢 獻 。

FHKI members care for workers stranded by
severe snowstorms in the Mainland
As severe snowstorms hit mainland China before the Chinese New
Year, a large number of migrant workers making their way home
were stranded in Guangdong. The FHKI called upon its members
to ensure a safe and merry Spring Festival for their workers. In
addition, the FHKI purchased 100,000 packs of biscuits for workers
stranded at Guangzhou Railway Station.
因 應 雪 災 影 響 春 運 港 商 盡 力 照 顧 滯 留 員 工
農 曆 新 年 前 內 地 暴 雪 成 災 , 春 運 交 通 嚴 重 受 阻 , 大 量 外 省 民 工
滯 留 廣 東 。 工 總 呼 籲 會 員 企 業 盡 可 能 為 員 工 提 供 協 助 , 讓 他 們
留 在 工 廠 宿 舍 , 過 一 個 安 全 快 樂 的 春 節 。 此 外 , 工 總 購 買 了 十
萬 包 餅 乾 , 分 發 給 滯 留 廣 州 車 站 的 民 工 。

Hong Kong International Toys Festival
celebrates Toys to Trust
The FHKI, Hong Kong Toys Council and the Toys Manufacturers’
Association of Hong Kong joined hands in staging the first ever
Hong Kong International Toys Festival from January 6 to 9. The
Festival served to promote Hong Kong’s reputation as the ‘World’s
Toy Centre’ to international buyers and the public alike, as a
positive response to the concerns about toy safety arising from the
series of recall incidents.
香 港 國 際 玩 具 節 宣 傳 「 香 港 玩 具 值 得 信 賴 」
工 總 、 香 港 玩 具 協 會 和 香 港 玩 具 廠 商 會 於 1 月 6 至 9 日 聯 合 主 辦
首 屆 香 港 國 際 玩 具 節 , 藉 此 進 一 步 向 海 外 買 家 及 公 眾 推 廣 香 港
這 個 「 世 界 玩 具 之 都 」 的 美 譽 , 並 積 極 地 回 應 一 連 串 回 收 事 件
所 引 起 的 關 注 。

Survey on PRD Business Environment
The majority of the Hong Kong enterprises who responded to a
PRD Business Environment Survey conducted by the FHKI earlier
this year revealed that they are willing to increase the automation
level of their production lines, and to transform and upgrade by
producing higher value-added products.
香 港 製 造 商 對 投 資 珠 三 角 持 觀 望 態 度
工 總 於 年 初 進 行 「 珠 三 角 營 商 環 境 問 卷 調 查 」, 在 回 應 的 香 港
企 業 當 中 , 大 部 分 表 示 將 會 提 升 生 產 線 的 自 動 化 , 以 及 轉 型 升
級 , 製 造 高 增 值 產 品 。
