Group 5 Hong Kong Electronics Industry Council
The Council co-organised a half-day Challenge of Intellectual Property Rights
in the Electronics Industry seminar with the Hong Kong Trade Development
Council (HKTDC) on the first day of the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring
Edition) in April 2007. Many renowned industry practitioners were invited to
share their professional views and insights. Over 200 participants joined the
seminar.
In addition, a Gala Dinner was hosted on the same day featuring Gordon Leung,
deputy commissioner for Innovation and Technology and Liu Zhongpu, director
of Shenzhen Bureau of Science Technology and Information as the guests-ofhonour.
The dinner provided a good opportunity for over 180 members and
guests from overseas and Shenzhen to meet and enjoy an evening of fun.

On 20 September 2007, the Council organised a visit to various R&D centres
of the HK Applied Science & Technology Research Institute Co Ltd (ASTRI),
to obtain up-to-date information regarding communication technologies for a
digital lifestyle.
The Group hosted the Opportunities and Technical Standards of Digital
Terrestrial Television (DTT) Broadcasting casual lunch gathering on 28
November 2007, with representatives of the Telecommunications Authority
(OFTA) and Television Broadcasts Ltd introducing the merits and technical
standards of DTT and the service deployment plan on DTT broadcasting. This
event was attended by over 30 members.

2007 年 4 月 , 香 港 電 子 業 總 會 及 香 港 貿 易 發 展 局 於 香 港 春 季 電
子 產 品 展 首 天 合 辦 「 電 子 業 在 知 識 產 權 方 面 所 面 臨 的 挑 戰 」 研
討 會 。 當 日 , 大 會 邀 請 業 界 知 名 人 士 擔 任 主 講 嘉 賓 , 與 業 界 深
入 探 討 有 關 主 題 , 超 過 200 名 人 士 參 與 , 反 應 十 分 熱 烈 。
總 會 更 於 當 晚 舉 行 了 香 港 電 子 業 總 會 聯 歡 晚 宴 , 邀 請 知 識 產 權
署 副 署 長 梁 松 泰 及 深 圳 科 信 局 局 長 劉 忠 朴 擔 任 主 禮 嘉 賓 , 有
超 過 180 名 嘉 賓 出 席 。 會 員 藉 此 良 機 與 海 外 及 深 圳 業 界 聚 首 一
堂 , 共 渡 歡 愉 的 一 晚 。

發 展 。
總 會 於 2007 年 11 月 28 日 邀 請 了 電 訊 管 理 局 及 電 視 廣 播 有 限 公
司 的 代 表 出 席 「 數 碼 地 面 電 視 廣 播 ─ 技 術 制 式 與 商 機 」 午 餐 會 ,
解 釋 有 關 數 碼 地 面 電 視 廣 播 (DTT) 的 好 處 和 其 技 術 制 式 , 以 及
展 開 服 務 計 劃 的 詳 情 。 是 次 聚 會 超 過 30 名 會 員 出 席 。
