Certification Service
The FHKI is authorised under the law of Hong Kong (Chapter
324) to issue various kinds of certificates of origin, and provides
certification services at four offices located in Mongkok, Tsimshatsui,
Central and Kwai Chung. Certificates issued include:
1. Certificate of Hong Kong origin
2. Certificate of Hong Kong origin (CEPA)
3. Certificate of processing
4. Certificate of origin-re-export
5. Certificate of origin-transhipment
6. Form A
In addition to issuing certificates, the FHKI also provided
endorsement service on commercial documents to meet the
documentation needs of traders. Conversion service for EDI
submission of some trade documents to the Government including
Trade Declaration, Electronic Manifest and Production Notification
are also available. The range of services provided is backed up by
quality where quickness, accuracy, reliability and user-friendliness
are key operational criteria.
Forging a Closer Partnership with Members
During the past year, the FHKI continued to devote its efforts
to improve membership services and value. This was achieved
by organising a variety of activities to better serve the needs
of members. The prime objectives included enhancing the
competitiveness of industries; exploring business and networking
opportunities for members; and further strengthening the
partnership relationship between FHKI and members.
Among the highlights during in the year, the FHKI organised over
110 events including briefings, forums, workshops, seminars,
cocktail, luncheons, gala dinners, exhibitions, visits and award
presentations. Seminars covered topical issues like the latest
regulations on processing trade, Mainland Labour Contract Law,
REACH regulations, China and Korea RoHS directives, food safety,
toys safety, human resources, intellectual property protection,
digital living, design innovation and brand building.
A total of 19 missions were organised last year; the destinations
included Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Jiangmen, Shunde,
Huizhou, Shenzhen, Shanwei, Xiamen, Chenzhou, Ganzhou,
