militaries typically allow them to improve coordination and minimize misunderstanding<br />

during MNF operations. Specifically, SOF can assist the MNFC to:<br />

(a) Facilitate the transfer of US defense articles and services under the security<br />

assistance program to eligible foreign government military units engaged in internal defense<br />

and development operations.<br />

(b) Assess foreign military force capabilities and provide direction or<br />

recommendations toward improving HN air-, land-, and sea-power special operations<br />

employment and sustainment methods.<br />

(c) Educate foreign military force senior officers and civilians in how to<br />

appropriately use special operations military power.<br />

(d) Train foreign military forces to operate and sustain indigenous air/land/sea<br />

special operations resources and capabilities.<br />
