S2-PDGS-DPC-395 The PDGS/DPC function shall perform nominally in all contexts (nominal, contingency reprocessing, bulk-reprocessing or hosted-processing operations) for better then 99.7% of the time computed over one month time window and assuming a degradation of such figure for no more than one day. 5.3.5 DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS S2-PDGS-DPC-400 The PDGS/DPC function design shall settle a well-defined interface applicable to the data and commanding/control flows of the IDP and OLQC processing tasks. S2-PDGS-DPC-405 The PDGS/DPC function design shall settle a well-defined interface for the remote triggering and management of hosted-processing tasks through the DAG function. S2-PDGS-DPC-410 The PDGS/DPC function design shall be such that the data processing tasks uniformly and dynamically share a sizeable pool of generic "multi-purpose" computing hardware resources for processing. S2-PDGS-DPC-415 The PDGS/DPC function shall interface with the DRX function through a high-throughput and reliable network interface. S2-PDGS-DPC-420 The PDGS/DPC function shall be designed such as to support high input/output throughput and reliable data transfers with the AI function for data archive and retrieval operations. S2-PDGS-DPC-425 The PDGS/DPC function design shall be such that the impact of input/output operations in the overall time available for processing is minimised and well-controlled avoiding input/output bottlenecks in heavy processing load contexts. 5.4 Instrument Data Processing (IDP) Requirements GSC Sentinel-2 PDGS SRD Issue 1 Revision 2 (draft) - 25.07.2010 GMES-GSEG-EOPG-RD-09-0028 page 87 of 204 5.4.1 FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS S2-PDGS-IDP-005 The PDGS/IDP function shall be able to perform the processing of the MSI raw data into elaborated Level-1 data according to well-defined algorithms referred to as Detailed Processing Models (DPMs). S2-PDGS-IDP-010 The PDGS/IDP function shall be able to generate the MSI L1A, L1B, L1C and True Colour Images (TCI) Product-Data-Items (PDIs) according to the Sentinel-2 Products Definition Document. S2-PDGS-IDP-015 The PDGS/IDP function operations shall be performed according to and after triggering by a well-defined processing directive of the DPC function. S2-PDGS-IDP-020 The PDGS/IDP function shall make use of the provided data and parameters referred to in the processing directive, including e.g.: Source MSI image data and Ancillary data Auxiliary data and processing parameters (e.g. GIPPs such as the DEM, GRIs, etc) Output tray, temporary allocated storage, etc S2-PDGS-IDP-025 The PDGS/IDP function shall perform preliminary validation activities on the input directive and associated data for completeness, validity (e.g. values are within expected ranges), and format. S2-PDGS-IDP-030 The PDGS/IDP function shall notify the DPC function whether the required processing activity specified via a processing directive has succeeded, failed, partially succeeded, etc. S2-PDGS-IDP-035 The PDGS/IDP function shall generate MSI product data with an accuracy equal or better than the baseline product quality targets defined in the [OCD].
