At the second Public Information Session, draft recommendations and action plans<br />
necessary to address identified challenges and opportunities were presented. These<br />

Alternative planning solutions and alternative road network improvements;<br />
Evaluation <strong>of</strong> the alternatives;<br />
Identification <strong>of</strong> recommended alternatives; and<br />
Draft transportation policy directions.<br />

The sessions afforded an opportunity for the public to discuss the draft recommendations<br />
and share ideas about improving <strong>Greater</strong> <strong>Sudbury</strong>’s <strong>Transportation</strong> system. All comments<br />
and input received were considered during formulation <strong>of</strong> the final recommendations.<br />
Comments received during the second Public Information Sessions are provided in<br />
Appendix “F”.<br />
1.7. <strong>Report</strong> Format<br />
This report documents the findings <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Transportation</strong> <strong>Study</strong>. The following introduces the<br />
format <strong>of</strong> the report and identifies the issues discussed in each chapter.<br />
Chapter 1 - INTRODUCTION<br />
This chapter introduces the study in the context <strong>of</strong> other background studies and initiatives<br />
that have been or are being carried out by <strong>Greater</strong> <strong>Sudbury</strong>. It states the study objectives. It<br />
also outlines the consultative process and methodology followed to meet the requirements <strong>of</strong><br />
the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process and the Official Planning process.<br />
