<strong>Student</strong> Rights and Grievances procedure (AP5530) as outlined in the<br />

www.frc.edu/studentservices/. The challenge of a grade needs to be made<br />

within one year of receipt of the grade.<br />

The FRC grading structure is as follows:<br />

A Excellent 4.0<br />

A- 3.7<br />

B+ Good 3.3<br />

B 3.0<br />

B- 2.7<br />

C+ Satisfactory 2.3<br />

C 2.0<br />

D+ Passing 1.3<br />

D 1.0<br />

F Failing 0<br />

FW Failing Withdrawal 0<br />

Grade Point Average (GPA) Calculation<br />

Your GPA is one measure of your academic success and can be calculated using<br />

the following steps.<br />

Step 1:<br />

Write down the grade received and units earned for each course.<br />

Check the chart above for the grade points assigned to each grade.<br />

Multiply the earned units by the grade point.<br />

Total the earned units and overall grade points<br />
