Campus Communication<br />
FRC Email and Network Account<br />
Email is the primary source of communication between faculty, staff, and you, the<br />
student. FRC requires that you sign up for an FRC Email and Network Account.<br />
Information distributed via email includes such things as deadlines, general<br />
announcements, and college updates and events. You are responsible for all<br />
information sent via FRC email. This account allows you to log on to any student<br />
computer system in the computer labs, the Library, and the Learning Center.<br />
Printing is available at these locations.<br />
How to Sign Up:<br />
The account is provided free of charge and includes an email account and<br />
access to networked computing systems and software on campus.<br />
You can apply for an account in person at the Library or online at<br />
www.frc.edu (click on the “Current <strong>Student</strong>s” tab, and then “Request<br />
Network Account”).<br />
How to Access your Network Account:<br />
You can access your account from any student computer system in the<br />
computer labs, the Library, and the Learning Center.<br />
Your USER name is: first initial of first name, middle initial, last name all<br />
in lower case, no spaces. (i.e. – Mary S. Jones would be msjones)<br />
Your PASSWORD is: first initial, last four digits of your student ID<br />
number, first initial of last name all lower case, no spaces. (i.e. m0757j).<br />
You can change your password at any time when you are logged on.<br />
How to Access your Network Email:<br />
Your email address will be your first initial, middle initial, last name<br />
@frc.edu. (i.e. – Mary S. Jones would be msjones@frc.edu)<br />
To access your email on campus, log in to any student computer<br />
system in the computer labs, the Library, and the Learning Center with<br />
your network username and password. Click on the FRC email icon on<br />
the desktop. Log on with your network username and password.<br />
To access your email off campus, go to the FRC homepage<br />
(www.frc.edu) click on the email link on the right side of the page and log<br />
in with your network username and password.<br />
Printing Capabilities with the Network Account:<br />
When you open the account, you will receive 50 free pages of printing.<br />
You can keep track of your available printing by checking the icon that<br />
comes up in the right hand corner of the screen each time you log in.<br />
