II. Trade Skill: Be competent in:
1. Starting and stopping a twisting
frame, creeling, threading-up,
doffing and tying correct and
clean knots.
2. Cleaning the twisting frames
efficiently according to schedule.
3. Differentiating between the
different counts and ply of the
pre-folded and folded yarn.
III. Skill Standard:
"A" Grade Standard
Piece 5 adjacent ends perfectly in
80 seconds.
"B" Grade Standard
Piece 5 adjacent ends perfectly in
100 seconds.
"C" Grade Standard
Piece 5 adjacent ends perfectly in
120 seconds.
The above Standards are based on
40's/2 (R30/2 Tex) cotton yarn on 8"
lift bobbins with 2" ring diameter
being used.
IV. Trade Tests:
1. Piece ends perfectly and within a
certain time as specified in the
Skill Standard. The knots should
be correct and clean.
2. Clean a twisting frame efficiently
within a reasonable time.
3. From a prepared board of foldedyarn
faults indicate the causes of
the faults.
