Job Skill Standards:
I. Trade Theory:
1. Have a knowledge of one or
more processes in a spinning
mill.
2. Know the reasons for investigation
and checking of spinning
processes.
3. Know why only truly representative
data should be collected and
recorded in an investigation.
4. Know how to record and summarise
data after investigation.
5. Know the dangerous parts of
spinning machines.
II. Trade Skill: Be competent in:
1. Carrying out processing checks
in a spinning mill and recording
results.
2. Handling and using instruments
in checking and investigating
work.
3. Investigating actual processing
conditions in spinning and recording
the necessary data.
4. Summarizing results and writing
reports on processing checks or
investigations.
III. Skill Standard:
Factories should make their
own standards of skill but a competent
investigator should be able
to check, investigate and collect data
for certain designated items in the
spinning processes, and results
obtained should be reliable. He/she
should also be able to indicate to
his/her superior any significant
changes in checking or investigation
results.
