Job Description:
Tending and cleaning winding
machines, removing full packages and
replacing with empty packages, knotting
broken ends. Sweeping floor
under and adjacent to winding
machines.
I. Trade Theory:
1. Know the purpose of winding
and the working principle of the
winding machine.
2. Know the dangerous parts and
safety devices on a winding
machine.
3. Know the names of the main
parts of a winding machine.
4. Be aware of the importance of
straightening the thread after
knotting and not allowing loops,
fly or waste to enter the cheeses.
5. Know the purpose and importance
of the stopping devices.
6. Be aware of the importance of
unwinding ALL the yarn from a
ring tube or cheese.
7. Know the difficulties which may
arise in subsequent processes due
to incorrect knotting, or failing to
make a knot.
8. Be aware of the importance of
not allowing different yarns to
become mixed.
9. Be aware of the importance of
detecting and removing faulty
bobbins and placing them in a
certain place.
10. Be aware of the importance of
maintaining the correct slub
catcher settings.
11. Be aware of the importance of
keeping a winding machine in a
clean condition.
