I. Trade Theory:
1. Have a sound knowledge of
textile processing in all sections
of a spinning mill.
2. Know the purpose of fibre to
yarn testing as well as investigating
processing details.
3. Have a sound knowledge of the
qualities of fibres, laps, slivers,
rovings, yarns and fabrics.
4. Understand the working principles
of the various testing instruments
as well as the various
spinning machines.
5. Know the methods of statistical
analysis and their applications to
textile testing and investigation.
6. Understand how testing and investigation
data can be employed
in spinning to maintain or improve
yarn quality.
7. Be aware of the importance and
the method of correct sampling
procedure in representing the
quality of the whole sample.
8. Know how to check processing
details on various textile
machines.
9. Have a knowledge of tracing
faults in processing and in taking
corrective action.
10. Know the dangerous parts on
various textile machines.
II. Have a knowledge of atmospheric
control in the testing laboratory.
12, Have a general knowledge of
electricity.
