Standard of Physical Ability:
"A" Grade Standard
Be able to lift and carry
materials or equipment weighing over
150 Ibs. without mechanical aid.
"B" Grade Standard
Be able to lift and carry
materials or equipment weighing over
80 Ibs. without mechanical aid.
"C" Grade Standard
Be able to lift and carry
materials or equipment weighing over
30 Ibs. without mechanical aid.
IV. Trade Tests:
General worker may be tested
by some of the following tests:
1. Lift and carry materials or equipment
according to the Standard
of Physical Ability without
mechanical aids.
2. Show ability in handling trucks
or using tools.
3. Identify different kinds of waste.
4. Sweep the floor of a certain area
and sort the sweepings into
different kinds of waste.
5. Collect, carry and distribute a
certain quantity of materials
efficiently within a reasonable
time.
6. Clean part of a machine efficiently
within a reasonable time.
7. Take part in a scouring team and
dismantle, scour, clean and reassemble
one section of a spinning
machine skilfully within a
reasonable time. Indicate to the
in-charge any abnormal wear of
machine parts.
8. Point out the dangerous parts of
given spinning machinery and the
safety precautions to be taken.
9. Stack a quantity of materials as
per instruction.
10. Weigh a quantity of material.
