Loading User Files<br />

User files saved to USB flash memory can be loaded<br />

into the instrument’s memory as required.<br />

NOTICE<br />

• When a user file is loaded the instrument’s 5 user songs,<br />

style 166, and registration memory will be overwritten. Save<br />

important data you want to keep to a separate USB flash<br />

memory before loading a user file.<br />

Select the Load User File function.<br />

Press the category [ ] or [ ] button as many<br />

times as necessary until the “Load USR” function<br />

appears.<br />

Load USR<br />

Select the user file to be loaded.<br />

When the [0] button is pressed user files located<br />

on the USB flash memory will be displayed as<br />

“USERxxx” (“xxx” will be a number). If the initially<br />

selected file is the one you want to load,<br />

press the [0] button. If multiple user files are<br />

available the dial can be used to select a different<br />

user file before pressing the [0] button.<br />

The user file to be loaded must be located inside<br />

the “USER FILES” folder on the USB flash<br />

memory. Files located outside that folder will not<br />

be recognized.<br />

Load the user file.<br />

A confirmation message will appear. Press the [0]<br />

button to execute the load operation, or press the<br />

[-] button to cancel the operation.<br />

NOTICE<br />

• The load operation cannot be cancelled during execution.<br />

Never turn off the power or disconnect the<br />

USB flash memory during a save operation.<br />

Wait until a message indicating completion of the<br />

load operation appears.<br />

Exit from the file control function mode.<br />

Press the [VOICE], [STYLE], [SONG], [FUNC-<br />

TION], or [GRAND PIANO] button.<br />

Saving and Loading Data (<strong>NP</strong>-<strong>V80</strong> Only)<br />

Loading Style Files<br />

A style loaded into style number 166 from either a<br />

USB flash memory or the instrument’s internal memory<br />

can be used in the same way as the internal styles.<br />

If the style is to be loaded from the instrument’s internal<br />

memory, the style file must first be transferred to<br />

the internal memory from a computer (page 87).<br />

NOTICE<br />

• When a style file is loaded, style 166 will be overwritten.<br />

Select the Load Style function.<br />

Press the category [ ] or [ ] button as many<br />

times as necessary until the “Load STY” function<br />

appears.<br />

Select the style file to be loaded.<br />

When the [0] button is pressed style files located<br />

on the USB flash memory or in the instrument’s<br />

internal memory will be displayed. If the initially<br />

selected file is the one you want to load, press the<br />

[0] button. If multiple files are available the dial<br />

can be used to select a different style file before<br />

pressing the [0] button (100 files max.).<br />

Style files to be loaded from USB flash memory<br />

must be located in the flash memory’s root directory.<br />

Load the style file.<br />

A confirmation message will appear. Press the [0]<br />

button to execute the load operation, or press the<br />

[-] button to cancel the operation.<br />

NOTICE<br />
