English is the main language at H.I.S. and the common language of their international community. The
staff and students represent more than 28 countries from around the world, speaking over 15 languages.
The educational programmes include:
Primary School
• Early Primary 1 & 2 – four and five-year-old children
• Grade 1 to 5
Secondary School
• Grade 6 to 10
• Grade 11 as of the 2009-10 school year
• Grade 12 as of the 2010-11 school year, leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma
The IB Diploma is recognized world-wide as a university exemption authorization, enabling students to
study at german and foreign universities.
Additionally there are offered After School Activities, such as Climbing, Chess, Music Band and more,
from Monday to Thursday.
