CarSharing offers the possibility of being mobile at any time without owning a car. The Stadtmobil Rhine-
Neckar AG offers the availability of numerous vehicles of different types and classes in the metropolitan
region at centralized locations. These can be booked quickly, easily and at short notice, 24/7 via Internet
or telephone. The cars can be booked for some hours only, or for a number of days or weeks. A customer
card guarantees a problem-free access to the cars. Stadtmobil Rhine-Neckar AG also takes care of any
maintenance, servicing and inspection. Car sharing participants can also use vehicles in other larger
German cities.
If you want to register, please bring the following items with you:
Half an hour of your time
Valid proof of identification
Your valid driver‘s licence
The necessary deposit in cash
Possibly the completed contract papers
CarSharing of the “Deutsche Bahn” - the German Railways
The German Railway also offers car reservations. This service is available at the stations Heidelberg and
Mannheim in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region. A pre-requisite is a once-only registration in the
“Reiseland-DB ReiseBüro” (the tourist railway travel agency), at selected service points or as well as on
the Internet. When registering a customer card is issued which unlocks the booked car. Further
