Animal liability insurance
Although many small animals such as cats and rabbits are insured via the private liability insurance, a
separate liability insurance is needed for dogs and horses. The so-called ‘pet owner liability insurance’
settles claims for damages, pays for doctor's expenses and smart money (compensation for pain and
suffering), and if your domestic animal causes damage to third parties. If the animal owner experiences
damage by their own animal, the insurance is as little responsible as for a deliberately caused damage.
